A three-year old dog was mauled by a seal in the North Sea
A black Labrador has had to be put down after it was mauled by a seal in the North Sea, near Newburgh in Aberdeenshire. The three-year-old dog, named Fly, was retrieving a duck shot by owner Matthew Will. “I’m still trying to come to terms with it all,” said Mr Will. “Now I just want to warn other dog owners of the danger so that they won’t have to face the same anguish and horror that I have.” Locals said that signs reading “Beware: seals may attack dogs in water” had recently been vandalised and removed.
