A new document sets out why hunting in the British countryside is essential
A new document co-produced by the Countryside Alliance (CA) and the Council of Hunting Associations, The Case for Hunting, is now available to download from the CA’s website.
The document sets out why the management of wild mammals in the British countryside is essential, and concludes that properly conducted hunting is a natural and humane method of wildlife management.
CA executive chairman Sir Barney White-Spunner said: “The Case for Hunting lays out the basic principles of hunting within the context of animal welfare, wildlife management and conservation, and it will sit beside The Case for Repeal as the foundation of our campaign.
“There is one thing that is absolutely certain: the debate has not gone away, and can only ever be resolved on the basis of the scientific and logical approach laid out in these documents.”
