Eagle found poisoned

A golden eagle was found dead on an estate in Scotland

Tests on a satellite-tagged golden eagle found dead at the Glenbuchat Estate in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, have tested positive for the banned pesticide Carbofuran. The estate is owned by the Marquess of Milford Haven. Grampian Police are among those investigating.PC Dave MacKinnon, Grampian’s wildlife crime officer, said: “We are always concerned when illegal pesticides are used for the poisoning of birds of prey.”
