The roebuck was discovered on farmland in the Somerset Levels. Andy Payne of West Country Deer Services (www.westcountrydeerservices.co.uk), which manages the stalking on 30,000 acres in the area, contacted Marco Pierre White through stalking agent Cervus UK after being alerted to the bucks presence by the landowner.
Andy said: We are pleased that Marco shot the trophy as most of our trophy deer go to European clients and though some have been very large indeed, they never get scored or seen again. We are delighted that it was a British stalker that took this unusual buck.
