Recent research shows that a decline in pollinating insects could seriously reduce the number of sloes

A new collaborative study carried out on the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s (GWCT) research farm in Leicestershire shows that declines in pollinating insects could seriously reduce the number of sloes available for farmland birds.

The study, which was published in the journal Annals of Botany on 11 November, was undertaken by the GWCT, Rothamsted Research and Stirling University.
