MSP Rob Gibson is calling for a ban on foreigners buying large tracts of land in Scotland
Highlands and Islands Scottish National Party MSP Rob Gibson has called for the banning of foreigners from buying large tracts of land in Scotland.
Mr Gibson wants his party to introduce new rules to force anyone wishing to buy an estate to commit to living in the country for most of the year and make Scotland their main home. He also wants it to be made law that landowners of holdings of 100 acres or more make their identity public.
