If you make a profit through picking-up, dog breeding or training, then you need to carry two new documents with you when you transport your dogs more than 40 miles.
Since 5 January 2008, new EU regulations mean that those who transport dogs as part of an economic activity must carry an Animal Transport Certificate and Transporter Authorisation form if a profit is made that exceeds the general running costs of looking after that animal.
