The Sporting Gun show, held at Althorp in Northamptonshire, was visited by over 10,000 people last weekend. Falconry displays, gundog scurries and the live debates ensured that there was plenty for everyone.

Althorp proved a fantastic venue, with beautiful grounds and a central location.

The Shooting Times stand attracted hundreds of people, who tried their luck at winning the AYA .410 gun kindly donated by Sportarm of Dorchester.

Special show prices meant shopping was one of the main attractions.

Log cutting competitions were held throughout the show.

Mark Hill was crowned as champion of the Sporting Gun Clubman clay shoot, achieving 71/80 and winning a Winchester Select Platinum gun.

Game cookery demonstrations and food stalls were in abundance at the show.

The Sporting Gun Live Forum held talks about wildfowling, pigeon shooting and gun cleaning.

Falconry displays entertained everyone in the main arena.
