The annual House of Lords and House of Commons clay shoot was held last Friday at Squerreys Court in Westerham, Kent.

The Lords emerged victorious, beating the Commons by just ten clays.

Estate owner and host, John Warde, commented that the day "was a fantastic success and managed to bring together key political figures which will no doubt benefit shooting."

This year's event differed from previous years as the competition was a simulated driven game day, (provided by Game Clays) which the Guns deemed much more sporting compared to a normal clay day.

Captain of the Lord's team, Lord Astor of Hever, was very impressed by the line of clays that came over. He told Shooting Times: "The result was very close, we only just beat the Commons. I am pleased the Lords have secured this victory as the Commons won the previous four years." He added: "This annual event is a great way of bringing together like-minded politicians who want to see the future of shooting secured."

The Guns were transported in two brand new Defenders, provided by Landrover.
